Review on Super Area Rugs Farmhouse Braided Rug: Turquoise & White, 2' X 8' - Reversible, Cotton Kitchen Carpet by Sonia Hills

I ordered 2 identical rugs - they arrived in a box separately wrapped in plastic and sealed with tape. One arrived perfectly and the other had a very strong musty smell. We tried airing it - but it was still very musty and gross. I tried washing it gently and air drying it, but it still got moldy. Some moisture must have gotten into the bag when packing and just seeped into the cotton of the rug. We're dropping this crap, and it's a shame. The other rug - again in perfect condition - they came in the same box - there are no holes in the moldy plastic packaging so I can only assume it was wet packed and the mold was just growing. Update 22 April 2021 - ordered another one - this one smelled like someone smoking in the bag it came in. as soon as we opened the package it reeked of musty smoke. I have only washed it 2 times in cold water on gentle cycle, as well as with a musty smell. - it's shrunk a bit, but we should be able to get it back to normal. Now tumble dry. These are great rugs, but there has to be some quality control in their packaging - they have to be completely dry before they're placed in a plastic bag - and maybe no one around them smokes? Not sure if they were made there or were en route, but easy enough if you don't mind washing them when they arrive. (Luckily ours were small - not sure how I could handle a larger one. - Maybe lay out in the sun for a few days to air out? - Again, these are great rugs and we got 2 that didn't have generally a problem
