The final decision has been made. To update.

Addition to my previous review: after all the trials we decided to return the vacuum cleaner. Why? He didn't do anything as described. Cons: Battery life was terrible (about 2 hours). It didn't go back to base to charge, but just died in the middle of the house. Returned to base 1-2 times so it was empty but that's about it. He kept wanting to vacuum the same spot and left the other part of the house dirty. clear it. So we had the Shark for about 3 days. We used it from day one to see how it would work with our family of 5 dogs and 2 cats. Surprisingly, Shark handled it as expected. But what he didn't do is the worrying part. He never returns to his base alone. Low battery or full, it doesn't matter. This shark just dies in the middle of the house and needs to be returned to the base manually. Also, he seems to prefer a very small room in the whole house. My living room was cleaned over and over and over while she couldn't visit other parts of the house when she wasn't there. The battery life doesn't even come close to meeting my expectations. The dough will keep for about 3-4 hours. That's a problem for us, especially since she won't be returning to base to recharge herself, so I never return home in a clean house, which was one of the reasons we got the Shark. The mapping seems useless because, as I mentioned before, whether it's a mapping or not, it seems like it wants to start from the same space and stay there forever. Today we took him away from the living room but after 10 minutes he returned to the living room. So for now we're not sure about this robot and we'll have to see if we decide to keep it or not.

Pros
  • Systematically cleans each room row by row, then moves on to the next for excellent home coverage.
Cons
  • Small things
