I have a 7 1/4" saw that I purchased from Montgomery Ward many years ago. I have used and abused it for many years. So I opened up the saw and put it down realized the rear axle bearing was destroyed. I had to remove the portion of the old bearing that was left on the armature shaft. I checked several bearing cages including "OTC". After reading the reviews on this tool, I was able to understand the extra cost can't justify. After receiving this tool I checked the threads on each part. They all looked fine. I greased them and assembled a small cage, tightened all the nuts. In seconds the shell of the old bearing was removed Tool worked very well for my application.
