*First Rating* - Even the finest setting isn't fine enough for espresso, but overall I like it. This is great for a French Press. **2 Month Update** I was initially happy with the grind size of the French Press, but as I used it it became too inconsistent. The fines vary greatly from degree of grinding to degree of grinding, even with coffees of the same batch and freshness. Sometimes I sip a good cup, sometimes a bitter layer of sludge waits at the bottom of my brew, like a predator lurking in ambush. I get *a* grind from him too, period: everywhere. Adjusting the degree of grinding does absolutely nothing. Always mixing large chunks with a medium grind and varying amounts of fines (sometimes up to 1/4 grind is fine! WTH?). Static electricity is scattered all over the table top making it difficult to remove the dose from the collection unit. This is by no means exact, so if you need a control or measure for reliable reproducible results. advance. Save $50 for something better later or buy a manual coffee grinder. You can grind grain at the market or in a cafe. Use mortar and pestle. Use a steel bowl and a stone. That's a waste of money. My grinder works better.
