Bought this item to replace another emergency radio. I liked the idea that I could run it on regular batteries as well as a clockwork, solar or wall charger to use this product. Went through all the features to make sure everything was working and was pleased to find that the antennas were fully retracted into the case. That's one less worry about damage in an emergency. The downside, however, is that it has a slightly "sticky" finish that deteriorates after a few years. It doesn't stop the product from working, but it gets on your hands and transfers to everything you touch until you manage to scrape it off. For this reason I have replaced my emergency radio from Eton (brand). Finally, in addition to his flashlight, he has a pop-up light that works like a flashlight.
