I bought this car bolt removal kit with a lost key. Worked quickly and efficiently. A few days later, when trying to remove the fuel gauge from an old Mazda, the screws rusted and the transverse groove tore off. Conventional attempts to remove the screws have been unsuccessful. I remembered this set around the time I wanted to drill heads. A quick check with vernier calipers showed the bolt head was just over 1/4". A quick turn with a small wrench and the bolts were loose. Can't comment on the durability of the tool, but such a quick release solution will work them quite well.Obviously they don't work well, if at all, on hardened materials, but for a quick fix, they cost money to buy.
