There are no instructions and I didn't have a mark showing the airflow on the filter. I have attached some pictures to help others in this situation. If you look at the image of the airflow, you will see that it is flowing in the direction from the white filter to the black carbon. Appropriately for the car, look in the old filter's glove box and the flow should be visible on the lid. If there is no cover, the old filter, unlike this product, should have an arrow showing the flow. When inserting the new filter, make sure that the arrow moves from the white side to the black side. The logic is that the white side prevents large particles or dirt from passing through, while the black side cleans the air, so the flow must be unidirectional.
