A few months ago I bought a green heated house from K&H. I love it but when I ordered another one after Christmas I wanted to save some money so I bought this red/black from Extreme Products. I want to compare these two. I will say that, I sent it back shortly after it arrived and ordered another from K&H. Now I have two green ones from K&H. I use my heated houses indoors because my cats are 12 and 14 years old. They love warmth. The red and black variant is ok, but it was much more difficult to assemble. The zipper was not well made. By the time I closed everything, my ankles were already hurting. The house is strong, but not as strong as the green. The main reason I returned to this house was the heating pad. It doesn't turn off. I plugged it in, didn't put a pillow or weight on the pillow. After about 25 minutes I put my hand under the pillow and the floor of the house which was fabric and in my opinion my cats were too hot to lie on. So I figured if the floor of the house could get that hot, how hot would the pillow itself get with my cat's weight on it. I think a heating pad is also more beneficial in a greenhouse. I was trying to save money and had to return for a very nice house that I already knew was. Lessons learned.
