Persuasion required

The claim was a 12 foot Silverado 1500 LT 4x4. The delivery time was good but the quality was absolutely terrible. The box was open at both ends. You can blame the carrier as much as you like, but the manufacturer must use decent packing material (tape). As soon as I lifted the box off the porch, the instructions (along with the iron) fell out. Next on my list of complaints is the manual. They said to check the part number on the back of the guards to determine which is for the driver's side and which is for the passenger's side. There are no part numbers anywhere. So take note, just use your best judgment. This isn't hard to figure out since your leaf springs will be taller on one end. Finally, let's talk about quality. This isn't the first Husky product I've bought. So I can say with confidence that warping is a problem with their products. Not by the sun, but by the way they package them. Mine were so warped that nothing grew together. No screw hole or valve at the bottom in a row and when I saw them after installation I wished I had chosen a different brand. I didn't actually have to, which was nice. With a bit of persuasion (because of kinks) I managed to use the factory holes in the case on the sides. Also, they don't look bad. They are simply a poor quality product. Just don't expect it to be as easy as they make it. If you have experiences similar to mine, you will spend most of your time reforming guards.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
