I've tried this tool on two different fuel line fittings with no success. I watched tutorial videos on youtube, read forum posts, tried everything. I think the problem is that the "compressors" are too thin and the clips don't push into the connector. There were two other slots that I couldn't even insert a tool into due to the shape of the hard fuel lines. Rails. I would have to sand the ends of the "prongs" to make them fit. Also, the tool is expensive for a piece of nylon that can only be used once. I ended up using two picks. It wasn't hard at all when I felt it. As long as you only go 1/2 inch into the plug there is no risk of damaging the seal. If you really need a specific fuel line tool for your Subaru try the Company 23 version, people love it.
