Review on πŸ•’ 12 Inch Waterproof Indoor Outdoor Wall Clock with Temperature and Humidity Combo, Battery Operated Non-Ticking Silent Decorative Clock by Josh Dyer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Stops working after 4 weeks.

I bought this clock for my three season porch; In late spring, summer, and fall, the lanai has waist-to-ceiling open screens and waist-to-floor solid walls. This watch is off to a great start! It was easy to read from a distance, it was handy to have temperature and humidity scales, and I liked how it looked on a brick wall. Its placement protected it from direct and indirect sun while also keeping it completely dry. Upon receipt I removed the battery and setting cap, which can be tricky without using a butter knife or a very small screwdriver to pry off the cap, added a new battery, set the time, replaced the back cap and hung the watch up on my wall with a nail. The second hand slides smoothly, the watch makes no noise. Unfortunately the clock started to lag within a week and stopped working within two weeks. I used a small screwdriver to remove the cover again, took out the previous battery, rubbed the battery contacts down with a polishing cloth, checked for signs of corrosion and damage, put in another brand new battery, set the time, put the cover back on and hung a plane on my wall . This time the watch started to lag for a few days and stopped working completely within a week. I repeated the second step, this time using the batteries I bought specifically for this third replacement from Home Depot and again the result was several days wasted and stopped completely within a week. Here I finally replaced and adjusted and the clock now reads 1:48 consistently, but the humidity and temperature sensors seem somewhat accurate.
