I have to admit I was a little hesitant to wear them in public. After all, they look a little unnerving to all but the most comfortable of people. I've only worn running shorts over them, cutting out the lining to reduce the visual impact. I use them mostly at temperatures below 40 degrees. They support in the right places and even made me a little faster. The extra support and warmth they offer is just what you need for those cold days when you want or need to run outside. One downside is that they don't block the wind, so some "areas" can get noticeably cold - unless you're wearing windproof shorts over them. Also, my lace started to unravel after the first wash. I fixed this by trimming the frayed ends and using a lighter to melt the newly cut ends. Problem solved. All in all it was a worthwhile purchase!
