I was hesitant to spend that much on lug nuts, especially when there are so many cheaper options. What ultimately made me decide to try them is that I've never seen any negative reviews about McGard tips and they are made in good ol' USA about an hour from where I live so my money stayed relatively local. Above all. The cleats were well packaged and each was covered in small protective rubber sleeves so they didn't chip off when they arrived like many less expensive cleats. The nicest thing is that the seat of regular toothed lugs is a ring that rotates freely around the lug itself, so the paint on your expensive wheels won't chip off. I'll probably buy another set of cleats for my second car even though it still has OEM rims if I have extra funds.
