Let me start by saying that there was no installation guide for this main unit. I literally spent about 4-5 hours researching before I started getting my original OEM unit. I was looking for something more with GPS for my 2018 Civic lx. With that said. The device itself is certainly an upgrade over the base system, but it's not a huge upgrade. NOT YET! You buy an Android car key with it. The dongle definitely justifies the purchase. I was able to get Apple Car Play working after installing the key. Installation was simple and easy to install only if you had instructions or basic knowledge. Otherwise it can be difficult. Luckily, I've already done that, so I'll leave my tips to you. There are literally only 4 ports to disconnect from the original device. Find and assemble cables with ease using the included wiring harness. The reversing camera is connected by cable. Look at the picture I've provided and it shows which slot this cable should be plugged into. Yes, this cable was also provided to you. What didn't work for me now is the steering wheel remote control. I've tried all ways to connect and configure, but I can't solve the problem. I emailed the seller many times about this issue but their replies literally didn't help. I've also read other reviews where it didn't work, so we'll see if the seller can email me a solution. Also, if you want to keep the original USB port on the front, you'll need to buy a cable for it. The same is used by Toyota and Lexus. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Yes, I lost control of the steering wheel, but I got a nice system with CarPlay. I would only recommend if you have a non-CarPlay base station. If you already have CarPlay, this Android system won't give you much and you shouldn't lose control of the steering wheel. Good luck with the installation!
