Not technically the Fat Max Band Stanley used a few years ago. I used to be able to get 3 months from older versions. I can use these for 3 weeks to 2 months. It depends if I'm working indoors, what time of year it is, etc. Here in Seattle, the jobs tend to be sandy and wet. In such conditions, I can work on this simplified version for about a month. Look, I know they're trying to save money or raise the price of a tape, but Stanley should have thought better of it. 10 years ago I could get by with these cassettes for about 3 months. Then I had to throw them away because the rust took away the paint on the blade. Nowadays the blade usually breaks somewhere before the 2' mark. I have a little more trouble with the blade getting dirty and not fully retracting. I would buy one of those extreme Fat Max bands, but the inverted hook on the end of the band makes it too difficult to navigate tight spaces. Again, why would I pay more for a tape that used to be old Fat Max tapes? inflation I guess.
