Luckily I have a friend who has Thermapen which is one of the most expensive and high quality professional food thermometers you can have and he loaned it to me to use with Baiko to compare. After preparing the steak, chicken breast, and salmon steak, I used both thermometers to check the temperatures. I have found Bayco to have a +/- 0.5-1.5 degree difference which is absolutely amazing given its price compared to Thermapen. If you're looking for a food thermometer that borders on scientific accuracy, then the Thermapen is the way to go, but if you're a casual cook like me, the Bayco works well.
