Plate Vibration Protection
I didn't want my plates to vibrate on the painted surface of our car's tailgate. This product seems to help with this problem. I was concerned that the vibratory plates would damage the paint and eventually lead to rust. These silicone frames prevent vibration, but I only wish they had better drainage channels on the back to prevent water from getting between the painted surface and the silicone backing. Time will tell if this really stops rusting. The supplied screws did not fit either our Toyota or our Mazda. I'm also not sure if the nuts are stainless steel.
