Review on Smays Micro USB Cable Bulk Cord Black 3ft 12-Pack: Efficient Charger for Multiple Devices by Dawson Schmidt

UPDATED 12/21/20. So the last 2 orders I got for these charging cables were total crap. Each of the 24 cables proved useless after just one or two uses. The small clips that hold the device when used to charge fold in after 1 or 2 charges, no longer staying in my phone or tablet and falling out instead of charging. This is WITHOUT abuse or abuse on my part. Previous cords would have lasted 30 to 40 times longer with regular handling and carelessness from my kids. I hope I just got my hands on some lemons and that they haven't altered the quality of this product because if they had these cords would now be less than useless and it may be time to move my business elsewhere. Based on this recent experience, I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 2. INITIAL REVIEW: Well, I originally bought these out of frustration that most cords don't live in my house for more than a few days. On the rare occasions when I want to charge my Bluetooth headphones or whatever wirelessly, I end up spending a lot of money to work after my kids have used them multiple times. So I decided to buy them in bulk as they are much cheaper overall than buying them individually or in pairs. I was positively surprised. These cords seem to last longer than most in my house, with a few bonuses. PROS: LOGIC: I expected these USB charging cables to last less than the ones I usually buy, but since I get 12 in a pack and they're fairly cheaply priced, that should do the trick. Instead, they are fairly stable and don't easily lose their footing. So far I've only had to get rid of 2 of them as they don't seem to stay connected anymore but that was after my little one brutally ripped them out of their tablets 50 or 60 times. If used properly, they would certainly last longer. Despite this, they still charge but unfortunately tend to fall out of the device they are supposed to charge. FAST CHARGING SPEED: It is amazing that these cables charge at high speed with the high speed connector. They charge both my Galaxy Note and my wife's Galaxy S7 at "Fast Charge" speeds. This was unexpected as it's not actually advertised for these cables. A few times I've bought other charging cables specifically for their supposed fast-charging capabilities and instead they just slowed down the charging process. These babies are doing great. MADE: These cables are thicker than others I've had before. I think that's why they charge quickly and why they're pretty resilient when my kids mishandle them. BONUS: Oddly enough, these cables connect my phone to my computer and I can use it to transfer data. While it may not seem like a big deal, trust me, it is. For some reason my phone keeps disconnecting from all my laptops and every other storage device I've tried it on. It seems to work a little better when I have an OEM Samsung charging cable, and even with that it still disconnects about every 2-3 minutes until the USB port on the laptop finally doesn't recognize my phone. With these cables, the connection was stable and didn't drop until I had transferred all my data multiple times. It's weird but I like it. CONS: The only downside would be the length of the cord. I wish they were at least 5 or 6 feet but that's not a problem. So much so that I bought 2 more packs of 12. It's worth it.
