Alright ladies, let me start off by saying I really wanted to love this. When I opened the package and felt the material I was impressed with how sturdy and well made this garment appeared to be! The hooks near the zipper were easy to fasten and helped make the zipping up process much easier. The "corset" part of this does remind me of a wetsuit as other reviews stated. The "briefs" part is thin silky stretchy material that doesn't do enough to shape or hold things in.so beware.Once I had this on and pulled the straps over my shoulders, one glaring flaw jumped out: the strap placement goes over your boob! If they had moved it back another inch or two, I think it would have been perfect. I really wanted to love this. I even tried wearing my bra over the shaper to see if that might help and had no luck. The straps are removable so I thought about trying to wear this shaper without them. The corset part does stay up, but definitely feels less secure without straps. I had intended to wear this for everyday use but I felt like if I were to bend the wrong way that this thing would start to roll down. The corset part is very think so I don't think it would really roll down, but I think if I were to wear it strapless it would constantly need to be adjusted.I am 5'3 and 160 lbs. I purchased a L and it seemed to be a perfect fit, very snug but not to the point where I can't breath or walk around comfortably. It contained my gut so well and definitely helped me fit into a smaller pants size with room to spare!Okay so maybe I could live with a strapless shaper. Here's the cincher. Because the top corset part and the bottom brief part of this are made with differnt thinknesses, the top part pushes your stomach down and the bottom part does little to contain it. I'm in the process of losing weight and my stomach has shrunk quite a bit, but isn't gone. This shaper seemed to accentuate my little apron of a belly. I even "lifted" my belly up a bit under the shaper and still had a visible paunch with the shaper. Maybe this wouldn't be a big deal wearing pants, but in a dress, I'm sure it would be noticable. In my pictures you can see in the one where I'm bent forward slightly that my stomach is being pushed down and bulges out of the bottom of the shaper. Also ladies, I think this garment would be fine to wear at an event where you were standing or walking around but not for sitting. The pushed down belly bulge would be less noticable standing. I think this shaper would be very hot if you were outside for any length of time.As far as the bathroom opening goes, the placement wasn't crooked, but the opening for peeing was very low. It would work, but you would have to lift it up a little. If the strap placement were fixed and the bottoms on this thing were a thicker material, I think this would have been a perfect shaper!Sorry if some of my pictures aren't pretty, but hopefully they are helpful. I wish I had read a review that mentioned the issue with the straps before purchasing this one.I will be returning it and continuing my search for the perfect all-containing shaper.
