Patients who have had foot surgery and have pins protruding from the foot may need them, but in any other situation you should not buy them. I have lymphedema and need to wear compression bandages on my feet and legs so regular shoes don't work for me. I bought a pair of these shoes and found them very bulky and very uncomfortable. They are essentially flat plastic/rubber sheets with velcro closures. They offer no support and are almost impossible to put on alone. I wore them for a total of 6 hours and had to return them because my legs were so sore. Not only did I have to pay for return shipping, but the company only refunded me one shoe as the other was too badly damaged. Both were visually identical when returned, both have hardly been used but I don't think there is a way out. Dissatisfied with the product or company they come from.
