Good choice. Braces, splints and supports

I needed for postoperative recovery. The hospital provided one boot that was fine but I needed another for showering. Darcy are my regular boots now. Instead, I use a hospital shower boot along with a waterproof bootie. Darco is comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

Irrevocable - Medical supplies and equipment

I bought this shoe to help with a broken toe. When I received the shoes they didn't fit. I tried to return the item but was told it was non-refundable and was provided a link with return instructions. I've looked at the recommendations and can't find any reason not to list a return. I am sure the shoes are ok but I will not buy another size from this seller.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Faulty

Uncomfortable post-op shoes, non-refundable

These shoes are very uncomfortable compared to the post-op replacement shoes (Pro-Care) I purchased. The partial plastic side walls, which sew the sole to the fabric side walls, are extremely stiff and can cut into your feet, especially in the heel area. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SHOP HAS NO RETURNS POLICY. Good luck with your leg recovery.

  • This is amazing

Excellent customer service

These are great shoes, unfortunately I couldn't use them for the purpose I ordered! My leg doctor recommended it, but due to disabilities in both legs, it was heavier than I could carry. I contacted customer service and they immediately refunded my money and wanted to know if there was anything else they could do to help me. I give 5 stars mainly for customer service but I think the shoes are excellent quality!

Better than the shoe my orthopedist gave me

I broke my fifth metatarsal. After four weeks in the air force, my orthopedic surgeon gave me postoperative shoes. It fell apart on the first day. He replaced it with another one and started sitting normally on my leg. I ordered it from AMAZON and am very happy with it. Ankle strap keeps it in place. The sole is very durable. I wear women's shoes in size 11. The men's size suits me perfectly.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No results

Stan the Man Reviews: Orthopedic Boot

I developed a pressure sore on my right big toe and my podiatrist fitted me with an orthopedic boot for which he charged me fifty-one dollars. When my big toe on the other foot started to hurt, I wanted to buy a second shoe. At first I had the good sense to go online and order these. I ordered them hoping they would be as good as the doctor's. It turns out that they are identical. He'll know in two days, trust me. Fits up to size twelve. Any large foot should probably go up to the next size up.

  • Permanent Test Results

Despite all efforts to rewind the foot

I bought this shoe because of a broken big toe. Despite all attempts to bandage my leg, the toe would not heal. After wearing Darco post-op shoes for a day, I was pain free. After she finally went to the doctor and took an x-ray, she told me that the shoes were just the right level of treatment. Although I have to wear it for at least four weeks. So if you have a broken toe and need some relief, these shoes are for you. I highly recommend purchasing the Darco Peg-Assist insole system with this…

Avoid buying them if you can!

Patients who have had foot surgery and have pins protruding from the foot may need them, but in any other situation you should not buy them. I have lymphedema and need to wear compression bandages on my feet and legs so regular shoes don't work for me. I bought a pair of these shoes and found them very bulky and very uncomfortable. They are essentially flat plastic/rubber sheets with velcro closures. They offer no support and are almost impossible to put on alone. I wore them for a total of 6…
