This is a superior metal frame that looks better than cheap casters you put your feet on. It is well packaged and appears sturdy. One star of perfect, we bought it for its custom look and we'd like to add a wooden headboard to one side. This frame has 3 horizontal holes (like slots) that can be adjusted to fit the headboard. The slots are too thin for our screws so say buy new screws or drill a hole. We like thicker bolts for stability, so we drill through steel. I only wish these slotted holes were larger to accommodate a good sized bolt. Otherwise the screws go into the base very smoothly and all parts and pieces line up well. There are small pads that you can stick on top of the rails for a better grip on the mattress.
