I'm picky when it comes to quality design versus cheap. I needed a metal design when my 45 pound dog smashed the plastic bowls I had installed in the drawers. This dog is new to the family. I have used plastic cage bowls with my small dogs (up to 20lbs) and they have not been damaged. You need to improve the design of the bracket to better hold the crate. They are simplified in design and one already had a cracked weld (poor weld). I was able to repair the weld with epoxy so the four bowls I bought are still in use today.
