I have to wear vibrams because of back pain. They are not waterproof. I live near Seattle. I'm not far from work, but far enough to get my socks wet (there's always a puddle I can't see) and then I have to work like that. Yick, but better than back pain. Enter it! They have completely flat soles with no support, which is EXACTLY what I wanted. They appear to be durable enough to last about a year with moderate use. When they arrived it was pouring rain. I slipped them on over my vibrams, grabbed my dog and raincoat, and walked through the apartment complex. I stepped in all the deep puddles and walked along temporary streams. Despite being submerged up to four inches, my Vibrams, socks, and feet came back from the walk completely dry.
