Review on πŸŽ’ Gill Race Team Bag - 30 Liters by Shawn Xayamonty

Like a dry bag on steroids

I received a duffel bag and use it to carry my gear, PFD, raincoat, radio, spare clothes, tool kit etc on the boat. It's a good heavy construction with attachment points, carry handles and a shoulder strap. This is a good size for a gear/weekend bag. Like the Dry Bag, it has a rigid Velcro closure and then folds up, holding the sides of the opening with clips that also help with compression. I didn't try to throw it in the water; but rest assured my gear will stay dry when I do this. Someone mentioned a concern about the transparent "window" on the side used to show ID, although I personally don't think that's an issue unless you're planning to dive deep with it or surface regularly bumping into sharp objects that could pose a threat to the rest of the bag as well. This is my second Gill purchase in a while (I own one of their raincoats) and so far I have been very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of their products.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are some nuances
