Perfect for swimming

This was a gift, it goes perfectly with the gear and keeps them dry. Well stitched, thick stitching on the handles so I don't foresee having to change anything.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great for boating

Im impressed with this bag, solid construction. During the 3 day race I still kept my electronics in this bag in a small waterproof pelican case. Probably too much, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Keeps everything dry!

Perfect waterproof bag

Perfection! Cute and fashionable waterproof bag! This size is perfect! Not too big and not too small. Allows you to attach a large towel, change of clothes or clothes and that's it. Excellent quality! So happy with this bag! I take it on a boat, to the beach, to the pool, wherever there is water!

The bag is good, the D-rings are too small for the nylon strap.

The bag is great, 4 D-rings are too small to even fit a 5/8 inch buckled webbing through the space in the D-rings. I had to purchase additional fasteners to attach to the D-rings that were too small so I could thread the fasteners through the new rings so I could quickly attach and detach the bag to the back of my bike.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Nothing here

It's ok for motorcycle trips.

I bought this bag because I had an ADV ride and needed a little more room on my backpack compared to my $170 Kreiga 20L bag. It had 1 day shipping so it fit the bill. Worked great on my 1400 mile 7 day off road trip in the Smoky Mountains. Through the rivers and dirt and dust and all matters of ADV and not a single question. I don't know why I spent $170 on that stupid Kreiga bag 2 years ago.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Bag is good in the rain

After a light rain, I placed the 30L Gil bag on the pier while doing business on the boat. Then it started raining heavily and the bag didn't let water in as advertised. I use a bag to carry extra clothes, my life jacket, sailing papers, etc; everything fits, there is space. I would recommend this bag for a day swim or even a weekend trip, although for a longer trip a 60L version could be considered.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Protection

Gil 30L first impression and use

When I used it for the first time, I took it in Phx as hand luggage. I am 59 years old and have worn a lot of sportswear over the years. and thought i'd give it a try. I like it and like the big hole once it's open. The quality of the material and assembly is top notch. For that reason alone I give it full stars. Personally, if I were to wish for something, it would be some sort of secondary opening that, when closed, didn't have to be rolled up every time to get inside. I understand that the…

Like a dry bag on steroids

I received a duffel bag and use it to carry my gear, PFD, raincoat, radio, spare clothes, tool kit etc on the boat. It's a good heavy construction with attachment points, carry handles and a shoulder strap. This is a good size for a gear/weekend bag. Like the Dry Bag, it has a rigid Velcro closure and then folds up, holding the sides of the opening with clips that also help with compression. I didn't try to throw it in the water; but rest assured my gear will stay dry when I do this. Someone…
