For many years when I was a hacker once or twice a year I didn't care which ball I used and I often found discounts on the internet recycling balls. . A lot of them were great and I liked different famous brands. But now that I'm retired, I'm playing more and more. Whilst before I couldn't reasonably discuss feel, great spin, softness etc, I can now talk about these things and have a better understanding of how different balls react and how they feel when you hit my clubs. Apart from that, I now only focus on quality balls. Don't listen to those who say that higher quality balls are only for low handicappers or pros - bullshit! Quality balls can help improve a player's game in a variety of ways. I love these Titleist balls and will continue to buy them (and a few other similarly priced competitor balls). Worth the price. If like me you're a higher handicap and you're getting a heavy jet of water, maybe keep a few scrub balls in your pocket until you run them over wet clothes - otherwise use a better quality one and feel the difference!
