Tried instead of ProV1. Not too happy that they are the same price. However, I noticed that my irons spin more on grass and the balls are very durable. After my first round I used the same ball the whole round and there wasn't a scratch on it. In my opinion they are more durable than the ProV1 but not as soft.

I like the durability of the ball, the feel and spin off the green, but the distance to tees, fairway woods and irons was not as far as the ProV1. I found it similar to the TaylorMade TP5x. Spin on longer wedge shots from 70 to 90 yards was good, but no better than the ProV1 at 20 yards or less.

Ordered these after reading other reviews. I thought I'd chime in and say I agree it's one of the best. It definitely goes further than Prov1 and feels softer. I don't know how they did it. The first round I played he went about 10 yards and after a few chips the ball was checked. I was very impressed with everything around it. I usually play Velocity or NXT Tour S. I have a handicap of 10.3. I expected AVX to be similar to ProV1, but it isn't. Felt a bit plasticky and not as soft as the ProV1 or even the NXT Tour SI bought for a trip to Ireland/Scotland to reduce the height of the ball in the wind. I didn't notice any noticeable reduction in the height of my shots. I just hit them and my bets on the fast greens were very good. A bit overpriced at $50 a dozen. I never write reviews but if you have any doubts about trying this ball do it. I've been using Prov1x and ProV1 for a long time and this is my new ball. I stay away from the driver longer and sometimes iron 10 meters. Flight is generally lower, like the 17 ProV1 I've used before. My daughter is a world junior golf champion and has been playing PROV1 since she was 7 years old. Now she is 12. She has 4 holes behind her shoulders. She has a handicap of 1.6 and has an average turn speed of 95 mph on her Ping G LE Driver. Her best finish on an 18 hole course from a ladies tee was 2 under par.
