It took a while to get used to but it's a good ball
I usually play Velocity or NXT Tour S. I have a handicap of 10.3. I expected AVX to be similar to ProV1, but it isn't. Felt a bit plasticky and not as soft as the ProV1 or even the NXT Tour SI bought for a trip to Ireland/Scotland to reduce the height of the ball in the wind. I didn't notice any noticeable reduction in the height of my shots. I just hit them and my bets on the fast greens were very good. A bit overpriced at $50 a dozen. Will likely stay at the speed of the previous generation NXT Tour for now, but overall a quality golf ball.
