Review on Combination Whetstone Sharpening Waterstone T0914W by Tanya Hughes

I bought this sharpening stone because of its lower price compared to Norton 4K/8K. While I'm very happy to be able to succeed with the 3K green grain side, I'm completely disappointed with the 8K white side. I already had a 6K grit King sharpening stone and would use it for this green-to-white sharpening stone. However, the white side of this whetstone ruins the mirror I got on my "coarser" 6 carat stone. I've done this several times and the result is always the same (even using 8K Nagura to keep the surface nice and clean). Don't get me wrong, I really like the 3K side of this whetstone. Actually and unfortunately it makes my edges look better than the 8K side. But if you're looking for a super-sharp edge, this probably isn't the way to go. or I.
