**UPDATE** I bought this rug almost a year ago and it has held up so well. Given the price, I'm really impressed with how good it looks and how well it's held up over the past year. I have a 12 year old son, 3 cats and many adopted puppies. Can be sucked up easily. Doesn't really smudge, but other than an accidental puppy accident, we admittedly spilled some on him. I made the mistake of shampooing this carpet. With hot water. I know, I know. In the end it got a bit crooked. Luckily I didn't do the whole rug, just the bottom part. I moved the carpet to my son's room. I bought this particular rug in 7x9 and I really like it. I know it's silly to buy it again, but I've searched and searched and searched for another rug that I liked and I just wasn't willing to shell out $200-$400 for a new rug. For $76 this rug is amazing. Follow the directions to ensure the rug lays flat. When I unroll the rug, I turn it over and leave it for about a day. This allows the rug to take shape. Then I turn it over and put it how I want. You will notice from the picture that I have things laying on the carpet and this is just to keep it flat. Once I do that everything is fine and lays down fine. I love this rug. --------- A great rug for the price. I breed dogs so I wanted to buy something inexpensive and it wouldn't be a terrible loss if it were damaged. This rug is great. Didn't expect the color to be so vibrant. Some complained that it wasn't "plush" but a $50 rug. Obviously it's not the same quality as a $200 rug. BUT for the price this is a great rug. It's soft but thin. You will need something to hold it in place. He slips a bit. I bought several corners for the rug and it sits perfectly in place. This rug is also very easy to maintain. The vacuum works perfectly. Dirt picks up easily. My cat got sick of it - it was easy to clean. Hasn't ruined paint or stains. I was nervous, I rubbed the blue and some of the color will appear. It didn't and still looks good, I've had it for 3 months.
