I ride morning/afternoon daylight on public roads and wanted to update the lights so I can stand out in traffic. I ride 40-60 miles straight and haven't had any battery life issues with the more efficient flash. I am very satisfied with the brightness of headlights and taillights. I'm sure the vehicle can see me clearly from afar in any direction. I don't drive at night so can't claim night lights for driving but I think it will do at dawn and dusk. I think the serious night cyclist will want to upgrade to a higher intensity headlamp for this purpose.
