My mom didn't want headphones that felt like putting earbuds in her ears. This set is perfect for her. She can still hear surrounding noise when listening to music or on the phone. The pack also includes earmuffs to keep them in your ear - both large and small. This is the first time I've tried a headset with this shape of headphones, so I can't give much in comparison to others with the same shape. Compared to headphones with earbuds, the sound quality is incomparable. The sound is much harder and less bass-heavy. There seems to be a space between you and the music. If you're looking for surround sound immersed in all the beauty of the beats, I probably wouldn't recommend this set. But if you want to hear the surroundings while listening to music and/or don't want to get stuck while on the phone hearing people's voices deep in your ears, I'd say this is a fantastic set.
