Being relatively new to using polymer clay I use Premo all the time, mainly because it's more affordable and comes in a wider range of colors. However, I recently discovered Kato at an artist retreat as he was needed for a specific project and I fell in love with him! As another reviewer mentioned, it's a lot stronger so it takes a little more muscle and time to get it into proper shape, but the results are worth it! What impressed me the most was that it didn't collect my fingerprints like the Premo, allowing me to work freely with the clay and get great results. If I have a hard time conditioning Kato, I just add some well conditioned (mild) Premo and it helps. I'll still use Premo most of the time as Kato "sets up" fairly quickly (like when you take a lunch break and come back to a project) and can crack a bit, but the metallic colors are rich and nice and the tone is simply divine work. Since discovering this tone, I've bought a large size in almost every color!
