I work as a weightlifting specialist in a growing business. When I started working in my current business, I inherited many designs from previous technicians. One of the projects I inherited was a low compression engine rebuild, but that didn't feel right to me. I can only assume that the other tech must have used a compression test kit from the discount cart. This compression test kit steered me in the right direction and hasn't let me down since! It saved the day, saved me a lot of unnecessary work, kept the customer happy, and helped me impress my boss. If you are a professional mechanic/technician I cannot stress enough the importance of having good tools that you can trust and this is one of them. The case it comes in is just gorgeous and keeps everything in place. The sensor works fine and seems to reset itself every time it is turned on. The backlight helps in the dimly lit corners of the store. I've considered an Innova compression gauge but went for it because it's over $100 cheaper, easier to use, and can be more useful since it's not limited to measuring 5 compression strokes per cylinder. this is especially true for smaller sports engines, where 49cc. cm of air fill the hose in five turns just up to the manometer. You can always rely on this set. I love the fact that I can test each cylinder and then review the results and write them all down. Saves a few minutes each time.
