For professional car wiring

I just re-routed the wires in my old truck. In the past, when I've done this, I've used a plastic tray that you can buy at most parts stores. Plastic has always seemed cheap to me. I bought a Painless harness and received a quick sample of it in the box. I liked it and decided to buy it once it came time to cover the wiring. It really gives the project a professional look and is much stronger than plastic. INSTALLING THE ITA As I mentioned above, the mount is solid. It will dull the scissors instantly. I've always managed to get a clean cut with electric diagonals. And how to put on a wire? It can be a little intimidating. Difficult to fully open (I mentioned the stiffness earlier). I found two systems that worked well. With the wire firmly on the surface, I wide open the section of sleeve between the wires and the surface and run my thumbs down, opening the sleeve as I go. I pinch the wire with my index fingers. Alternatively, if the wires are dangling, I slide the sleeve on one end over the wires and keep my thumb and forefinger in the same relative position as I work and move the sleeve up the wire. That works fine too. It's rough and can be hard on your fingers, but the finished product is worth all the effort and even a bit of pain. Once I've finished writing this, I'll be ordering more.
