This backpack for pets is suitable for very short distances; We bought it to help our dog up and down long flights of stairs to protect his back. We found it easiest to fully open the pack, let her step inside and stick her paws through the leg holes, then zip up while she's on the ground; she moves too much to try to lift her in. There isn't much structure in the bag so the dog falls on its side. But better for a small dog. Our dog is approaching the upper weight limit. REVISION: I originally rated this product three stars based on the information above. The seller contacted me and offered a refund as it didn't turn out the way I had hoped for my dog. I increased my rating by one star because of the customer service. For dogs at the higher end of the weight range, the product needs to be stepped up. Additional structure is required to make it more rigid and not as flexible.
