I've noticed that others have complained about how difficult it is to insert the pull rod. To fix this I found that the corners on the end of the rod were too sharp (less than 90º) and bending them exactly or slightly less than 90º made insertion easier. When inserting the bar, I found it easiest to place one end on my stomach, hold the bar in the bottom hole with one hand, and CAREFULLY bend the other end until the bar reaches the top hole. And don't forget to take out the rod after machine deforming.
