The best USB SSD you can buy! Don't look at anything else!

In short, I needed an SSD to back up my MacBook Pro. I used to use a spinning hard drive for backups with the SuperDuper software and the process was painfully slow. It often took up to an hour to back up and restore around 500GB of data. With the internal SSD on my MacBook Pro, it made perfect sense that the target backup should also be stored on the SSD drive, where transfer speeds would increase significantly. Another thing to note: Spinning HDDs have a much higher failure rate than SSDs. I can't even begin to tell you how many spinning backup drives I've bought in the past have ended up failing. SSDs are the future, and the fact that these drives have come down in price doesn't give anyone an excuse not to buy one. I did a lot of research on different SSDs before settling on this 1TB SanDisk drive. My first choice was a Samsung in a colored metal case. However, the reviews led me to believe that there were serious problems with the Samsung drives as they contained firmware that was difficult to remove. Nobody wants that when buying an SSD drive. Reading the reviews for this SanDisk Extreme, it was easy to see that it was the perfect fit for my needs. The feedback across the board was very positive. Without firmware. This particular SSD has been recognized as one of the fastest USB drives available on the market today. Upon arrival I was amazed at how small this drive actually is. I mean he's really tiny. You can put it in your jeans pocket and you won't feel it. We've really come a long way when it comes to external SSD portability. I'm not particularly happy with the cover on this drive. It's a dust magnet. When I put him on the table, he had already collected dog hairs in the air. On the other hand, this thing is so strong that you can drop it from almost any height and it won't break. So I think it's more important than anything else. It was nice to see that the drive comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter cable. The cable is also securely fixed to the drive without moving. The only thing I have to say about the cable is that it is too short. I include in my photos the result of a recent SuperDuper backup of my MacBook Pro. You can see about 425GB of data was backed up in 30 minutes. With a rotary drive, it would take 2-3 times longer. This drive is really very fast! This drive is formatted for Windows. If you buy it for your Mac, you need to go to DISK UTILITY (in your Applications folder), select the SanDisk drive, and then click DELETE. You should format the drive to OSX Extended Journaled. The format takes seconds to create. After that, you can transfer data to the drive. By far the best SSD I've ever owned. Feel free to consider this before anything else.
