Review on Bushwhacker® Barrier Smaller Restraint Backseat by David Holmes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall great but a few things to note

I bought this to drive 1500 miles with two cats so they can be out of their kennels and not under my feet. Haven't used it yet, but it seems solid, and the 50" barrier is perfect for the back seats of my 2019 RAV4 (about 2" clearance on each side), and I'm pretty sure they'll stick to it don't come by. The assembly and installation was a little tedious, but not bad, and I managed it myself in about 45 minutes. The main thing is that I'm 5'4" tall and prefer the driver's seat to be quite far forward so that the back of the seat is about 5-6" in front of the rear edge of the center console. The barrier rests against the rear of the console, leaving a gap between the bottom of the barrier and the front seats that is safe for a cat or small dog to squeeze through. This is most likely not a problem for me as the car will be chock full of stuff and I can lock it, but definitely something to consider if you intend to use this in normal (yet) conditions and away from the driver's seat. Forward. Also, I'm sure the mesh will be a magnet for sharp claws, but it looks like it will last a few days. As for durability, I'm not sure.
