Description of Bushwhacker® Barrier Smaller Restraint Backseat

Barrier is made with scratch and tear resistant pet screen. All mesh design allows rear AC/heater vents to flow through barrier. Half inch light weight metal tubing maintains barriers shape and prevents dogs from squeezing over, under, or around barrier. Attaches to front seat headrest and either the seat belt mount or around car seat frame. Dimensions: 50 inches wide tapering to 42" at the top. Ideal for mid-sized sedans, small trucks and small SUV's. Not large enough consider our 56 inch model. Refer to last image for detailed dimensions. To determine if it will fit measure the width of your vehicles interior just below the headrests. If the width is more then 50 inches it will fit. Refer to last image for complete dimensions.

Protecting My Son From Autism

Bought Two. One for the Hyundai Elantra and one for the Civic. I like the fit best on the Elantra. The Civic has a little wiggle room at the top. However, it's okay. Easy to assemble. Easy to install firmly. Works strong and safe. We both hurt each other while driving. No longer. A while. He's 15 and I love him with all my heart, but if we both die in a car accident, what then? If you need protection, BUY ONE. This model is designed for small cars. My best wishes and heart go out to you all…

Barrier to protect from son with autism.

I got this barrier to protect my teenage son with autism when he has violent outbursts while driving. It was easy to assemble and install. I love that it's made of mesh so my son gets plenty of air in the back seat (we live in central Texas with very hot summers) and that it extends to the roof and side windows of the car. My son sits behind the passenger seat, so I slide the passenger seat all the way forward to make room for his long legs, while my driver's seat is about half way back, and…

Suitable for cats

We bought this before a long trip of several days halfway across the country. Our goal was to close off the hatchback's passenger/cargo area to give our three cats as much space as possible during busy driving. It covered the top well but didn't reach the bottom (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). While trying to block the underside of the seats with boxes and junk, we still had to make an emergency stop when one of the cats managed to crawl under the seat into the front seating area. Overall…

German Shepherd Herd

Our 2 year old German Shepherd is huge, over 100 pounds. He doesn't really like driving, so he tried to climb on our laps when we were driving, you know, to be more comfortable. Dangerous on the road! We bought 50" and 56" blocks for both of our machines. Model 50 is a perfect match for the Jeep Grand Cherokee! The 56 inch is perfect for our Chevy Silverado LT. Now it fits perfectly on the back seats. Too bad I didn't buy them sooner. Very strong. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together…

can also be used to block the back of an SUV

Finally found a way to give my princess (name changed because it's a more accurate description) a screen door in the back of her car! I use a battery powered fan for airflow and have a thermometer and camera from my phone to test it with. She loves it and doesn't mess with the screen door! I set it up with the net pointed at it with bungee. The key is to use the latch at the bottom to firmly stop the barrier. Parked in the shade, it's as convenient as it gets. She always has water, toys…

Overall great but a few things to note

I bought this to drive 1500 miles with two cats so they can be out of their kennels and not under my feet. Haven't used it yet, but it seems solid, and the 50" barrier is perfect for the back seats of my 2019 RAV4 (about 2" clearance on each side), and I'm pretty sure they'll stick to it don't come by. The assembly and installation was a little tedious, but not bad, and I managed it myself in about 45 minutes. The main thing is that I'm 5'4" tall and prefer the driver's seat to be quite far…

strong strong . .But. .

The installation was a bit difficult. Product comes folded and comes with (1) one sheet of basic instructions with pictures. The details are really lacking. Basically, it works on the same principle as the poles on a small tent or parasol. Each pole cuts (slides) into the other. A right side, a left side and a middle. Seems simple enough - NO! The bars are measured and cut to slip into each other with very little "forgiveness". So if you don't install them properly, you'll be stuck - one side…
