Review on 🌾 Durable Eco-Friendly Wheat Straw Plates: Unbreakable & Sustainable by Flex Graham

- Made in China - Not at all sustainable - Very light but strong enough - I couldn't break a single arm and a few levers, but no tools. Well, the wheat straw material flooded the vine at the same time, so I requested several different sets, thinking it would be eco-friendly. I should have researched before asking. The plate is almost as deep as a pasta bowl. The panels are marked PP 5. This requires a dedicated recycling facility, of which there are only about 15 in the entire US, so not much PP 5 is sent for recycling. Bowls and cups are marked PP 7, which is even worse. Most of PP 7 is not recycled because there are very few items for it. Cutlery is not marked. All edges are smoothly rounded. Wheatstraw utensils are simply wheat straw and plastic mixed together. Therefore, it cannot be recycled with regular plastic, since wheat is actually a pollutant for plastic and plastic is considered a pollutant for organic matter. They are not environmentally friendly and are not manufactured or recycled. It's just another foreign AliBaba reseller spouting buzzwords. Due to the extreme level of false hype I cannot give more than 2 stars. There are many uses, but there are far better and prettier choices in the bamboo or even palm leaf tableware family.
