I like the power saving feature of this line filter. My TV plugged into the outlet has a little standby light all the time. That's the only vampire power I'm wasting right now. All of my gaming systems and other connected components only turn on when the TV is on, saving me a lot of power. It also has an on/off switch if you want to turn off the power to everything completely, and it has good indicator lights to show if the outlet is grounded and if your devices are protected. My only complaint is that the socket configuration makes it difficult to use all available sockets. I could also sacrifice some of the "always on" outlets for more energy efficient outlets. That being said, I doubt that a surge protector can anticipate and meet the needs of every user. I've never had one that fully meets my needs. Too many odd-shaped plugs take up too much space on the surge protector. And it's hard to predict how many "always on" and energy-efficient outlets people will need.
