great product, very good price

great product, very good price. It has 5 always-on outlets so you can plug in your cable box, computer or whatever you want. It then has 6 sockets controlled by the main socket. I have my AV receiver plugged into the main outlet and my subwoofer into one of the switched outlets. So when I turn on the receiver, it also turns on my subwoofer, which saves power and prevents power surges from damaging the subwoofer. It also has a COAX surge protector to protect your TV tuner from power surges. It…

The jury is still out. for accessories and consumables

The jury has not yet made a decision on this subject. I bought this to replace the Staples one. I connect my laptop to the master and I connect monitors, printers and other peripherals to the slaves. The problem is that it keeps turning off. It's like the laptop isn't powerful enough to keep everything else running. Any suggestions? Update September 21, 2016: I spoke to Matt at Tech Support. This device requires 40W of power from the main socket to activate the slave/sleep sockets. I think…

Worked for a few years and still use it!

I bought this for my computer a while ago and before that I plugged my computer directly into the wall which I shouldn't do. I'm glad I bought this because after several moves I've lost a lot of electronics due to bad outlets, except for the ones I plugged into this surge protector. I definitely trust Cyberpower with my valuable electronics. I plug my computer into the main outlet and monitors and other peripherals into the outlets so that when my computer goes to sleep it also turns off the…

Works well but not in all situations

Reviews that slave sockets are not powered when the master is connected to an LCD/LED TV are correct. I originally set this to turn on the amp (on the slave socket) when the tv turns on, but when the tv was first turned on the amp turned on, then it dropped so much that the power to the amp went out . , then as soon as the signal was processed on the TV, it turned on again. I didn't want the output of the amp to vary so much. I ended up moving the main power supply to turn off my receiver. I…

Great suggestion, definitely my surge protector if I ever need more!

In my opinion this is the MOST surge protector. For $36 you get 4350 joules of protection, noise filtering, an integrated circuit breaker and a 500,000 connected device warranty. Sockets have sliding covers when you're not using them, which is great for keeping dust out. There are also 2 cord storage spots on the side of the extension cord and they are large enough to hold an extension cord if needed. What you should note, however, is the side with the green sockets. They won't work if you…

I like the power saving feature of this line filter

I like the power saving feature of this line filter. My TV plugged into the outlet has a little standby light all the time. That's the only vampire power I'm wasting right now. All of my gaming systems and other connected components only turn on when the TV is on, saving me a lot of power. It also has an on/off switch if you want to turn off the power to everything completely, and it has good indicator lights to show if the outlet is grounded and if your devices are protected. My only complaint

  • Impressive

  • boring packaging
