GREAT CARPET! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I bought a 6 foot square rug for my kitchen. It is absolutely perfect and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Colors can appear very different online than in real life. My kitchen was a fairly neutral palette so I wasn't trying to match a specific shade, but if you try, here's my take on carpet colors/shades: Orange: Orange isn't monochromatic. It is a mixture of orange and muted yellow fibers. More orange than yellow. But it's definitely not pure orange. From a distance it looks orange. Up close you can also see that they added a bit of yellow. Very thin. Very pretty. I hesitated when choosing the carpet because I didn't want the University of Tennessee orange. And it's not. It is really nice. Green/Chartreuse: There is green in the carpet that is basically Chartreuse. Sometimes the chartreuse can look more yellow or green: This chartreuse is a green chartreuse. And I would say green is more of an acid green hue than a lemon green hue. Chartreuse can be tricky, that's the best way to describe it. I realize "Acid Green" sounds intimidating, but it's those little touches of color that make the rug interesting (and not as plain and boring as many Persian rugs can sometimes get). Blue/Turquoise: Blue is in the carpet. it's basically turquoise. Again, it's such a small pop of color that it doesn't overpower the rug but adds a wow factor. Cranberry: The border running around the rug is a cranberry color (hard fibers - no "impurities"). I'll admit that this color isn't found anywhere else in my house and I have no plans to add it anywhere else in my house, but it works on this rug! However, this is a color that you might want to keep in mind as it is a color that can end up clashing with something else that you already have in your room. This cranberry border has flowers and stuff on it, so it's not a HUGE part of the rug, but it IS on it. so keep that in mind. Plum: There is a VERY SMALL piece of steamed plum on the carpet. It is used on the petals of some flowers. Most people won't even notice it's there, but if you look, you'll see it. Black: There is some black in the carpet. Black in carpets can sometimes be a nightmare because it picks up dirt/crumbs/etc. shows, but on this rug it really isn't enough to be a deal breaker. And indeed, the carpet is so busy that nobody notices anything on black. I think it's also important to note that the color combinations in this rug won't work in every room. As I said, I needed a really colorful rug because my kitchen was so neutral. However, you must be careful when decorating this rug because she is a superstar and she knows it. You need furniture/objects/artwork that go well together but don't compete when it comes to color. If you choose too busy art and furniture, power struggles and chaos will ensue. She will require careful and thoughtful planning, but if you get it right, you will receive LOTS of compliments in every room she graces with her presence.

  • So far so good
Cons
