Opening the lid was difficult and became impossible. Yes, I squeezed and twisted the lid. No, I haven't opened it. I pulled out the sewer capping pliers and with a lot of effort was able to twist and open the cap. The second time I tried to use the same thing. The third time I couldn't open the cap no matter how hard I pushed and twisted with pliers. Finally I made a hole in the top of the bottle and poured some of the iodine into the empty bottle and some on the bottom. It was possible to save about 3/4 iodine.
