I bought this lighter as an upgrade to a relatively inexpensive 3 burner lighter commonly referred to as the Typhoon. What immediately struck me was the Xikar's solid construction, which feels solid in the hand. It also fires much more reliably thanks to high-quality butane, and the wide and sharp punch fits most ring gauges. I don't miss the third flame; Rather, I actually only wanted two flames to save fuel and give a little more ignition precision. Two flames, of course, turned out to be a plus, and not at all a disadvantage. At a reasonable price, this is an absolutely superb flashlight in any crowd. No reservations. Remember to prepare the chamber before filling and refilling.
