I was interested in a more expensive model, but I chose this one. The only reason was that nobody would send APO to my address. Instead, I have to be content with this volume. I use this for soldering and testing SMD components. It's a great thing and I don't regret it one bit. I've found 10x lenses to be perfect for what I do. It's much easier to solder these small components and find loose and dry solder joints. Highly recommended, I don't think you will be disappointed. The price is very reasonable for the quality you get. Everything is safe and looks very high quality. The optics are crystal clear, I see no distortions. I was a little concerned that the LED wasn't bright enough, but it works great and I like the flexible wand to direct the light where I need it. The workspace is great and I can comfortably look at it for an hour or more without much fatigue. This is by far one of the most useful parts in my lab since the Hakko soldering station. Worth every penny. I use this in England and connected it directly to 220v, it works great with no dual voltage issues.
