Best of its kind

Great product for several reasons 1) Unlike most competitors, the power supply is integrated meaning you have one less power supply to deal with 2) The power cord is a standard version that can easily be replaced with an inexpensive one Replacement if the original is lost. 3) The power switch is on the side instead of the top, which means there is no danger of turning the device on or off when you put something on it, such as a phone. B. Another identical hard drive case. 4) The USB 3.0 connector on the device uses a standard USB A-type design, which is identical to the usual dimensions of a USB 2.0 A-type connector, instead of the short USB 3.0 micro-B connector, which is one of the worst designs ever made. The USB 3.0 Micro B connection is never reliable and easily fails. USB Type-A ports do not have this problem. A USB 3.0 Type A male-to-male cable is included with the device.5) A more compact housing for a rotating 3.5-inch hard drive with an integrated power supply could probably not be designed. However, the fact that it's made of plastic and not aluminum means that it needs to be handled with care. In addition, there is minimal ventilation, although there appears to be a small built-in fan. If the drive gets hot, consider cooling it with an inexpensive USB-powered external fan. 6) The icing on the cake will be the inclusion of the "on" indicator; Let's hope this is part of a redesign. 7) Comprehensive, clear, illustrated instructions are a bonus. Manuals for foreign-made devices, especially those made in China, are often poorly translated and incomprehensible; there is nothing wrong with this product. 8) The installation is a "clickโ€, both literally and figuratively; It only takes a minute or two. 9) Nice finishing touches include a small Phillips screwdriver for installing the four screws that secure the hard drive to the bottom of the case, and an extra screw in case you lose one of the baddies. .10) Finally, although it has nothing to do with this product, I would like to mention that I always make a copy of the hard drive label that I install in such an enclosure and stick it on the enclosure. That way I don't try to find out later what's inside. 11) Kudos to Tccmebius for a great design that shows a lot of thought.

Pros
  • UASP Super Speed: The hard drive enclosure's SATA interface supports UASP accelerated transfer protocol, 20% faster than traditional USB 3.0 (NOTE: UASP requires UASP-enabled host system). The USB 3.0 A interface supports speeds up to 5 Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports.
