They will be useful for those totally new to Beyblade but will disappoint those already using real Hasbro or Takara Tomy decoys . The kit contains everything you need to get started right away. The launchers work reasonably well and the discs and drivers are actually pretty decent, but the rings (colored plastic piece on top) are of poor quality compared to the original BBs. Stadium is glorified packaging, but it works. Hard drives and drivers also work with real bases (they are the best parts in the set). I bought this set when we (my kids and I) were new to BB and after spending some time with actual BBs I could see the flaws in this set. If this is for a kid who has only heard of BBs and has never owned one and might just want to try it, this isn't a bad set. But once they take them out to the schoolyard to play with the real beys, the difference becomes apparent. And you can't use them in a tournament (although if you're reading this review, you probably aren't ready for a tournament!). I ended up gifting the whole set to our nephews as they just couldn't compete with our authentic BBs. I'm giving it 4 stars because overall this set isn't bad for WHAT IT IS - a functional fake but for a few bucks more you can get a real product. I recommend doing this.
